Though we've only met shortly, I really enjoyed seeing you when you were in Tucson. You've managed to raise a precocious son to be well-mannered (which is tough to do, having once been a young snot myself!) and you seem to be taking everything life is throwing at you with grace. Though, I must admit I'm jealous of you being able to get rid of so much of your stuff when I can't do it myself. :P

I love you because you make tasty goodies to eat. And I just had a bowl of chocolate ganache (highly liquored up) with peanut butter on top and thought, "Eliza could do so much better." And because your hats, when you make a new one, make me smile.

I love you because you remind me of Bacon, and I love bacon. And because you got me out of the house for lunches more often than anyone else did when I was lonely at home. And because you are part of the "sorry" support group -- apologizing more than I do and making me feel like I'm not so bad off :)

I love you because you win the award for the most improved self esteem. I keep waiting for you to write a self-help book on this one. "How to dump the asshole already, find a wonderful guy, and stop sabotaging your life."

I'd kill for half your work ethic. :)

And because you can laugh at a situation while still having sympathy for the individual making idiotic decisions.

I love that you have that irreverent survivor humor. Even as accepting as I can be with people, I would have strangled your family, as well as your in-laws. I love that you're not in prison for doing so, and even have empathy for many of them.
